Statement on Mas’ud Trial Access Legislation

On behalf of the Victims of Pan Am Flight 103, Inc and all those who were affected by the bombing of Pan Am 103, we want to thank Senator John Cornyn (R, TX) and his staff for taking the lead on introducing S.3250 (A bill to provide remote access to court proceedings for victims of the 1988 Bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.) along with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D, NY). The families have fought for thirty-five years in pursuit of justice. Many of those who have been an integral part of the court proceedings we are about to embark on live all over the country and world and are unable to travel to Washington, DC. Allowing loved ones who have waited over three decades for a trial in this country to be able to participate in a way they are able, is true justice. We are grateful for the hard work that has been done to bring this legislation before Congress. We are grateful the other members of the Senate supported the families in their quest to see justice carried out and hope the House of Representatives will follow in the same manner.
