The Legacy Award

The Legacy Award of Victims of Pan Am Flight 103, Inc. was established in 2017 to remember the 270 lives lost in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 on December 21, 1988.

  • The Legacy Award will support students pursuing advanced degrees in areas of study related to improved national security and terrorism prevention as they prepare for careers focused on keeping citizens safe from the threats of terrorism and preventing the deaths of innocent men, women, and children.
  • Awards will provide up to $5,000 per year, per student.

2017-2018 Legacy Award

We are pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity for the 2017-2018 academic year. Applications are now open for the Pan Am Flight 103 Legacy Award.

We invite applications from current seniors and graduates of U.S. colleges and universities who are planning careers in areas related to national security and terrorism prevention. Advances in technology, social science research and political leadership in a changing world are purposes of value to the Victims of Pan Am Flight 103, Inc. Students requesting financial support will be asked to submit an application explaining what they are doing to meet the goals of improving national security and preventing terrorism. The deadline to apply to the Legacy Award is February 21, 2017 at 11:59 pm EST.
