As some of you may know, I was approached a few months ago by three 2015 Remembrance Scholars from Syracuse University to see if I would be interested in having Dark Elegy as a permanent installation on University's Campus. Of course, I have always thought SU to be a terrific place for Dark Elegy to find its permanent home, and have been working with these scholars to gain support for the initiative. To show this support, we are asking those affiliated with SU, as well as the families of the victims, to add their signature to an online petition that will be presented to Chancellor Syverud and a committee responsible for art installations at the University. We are hoping to gain many signatures, so that the University is aware of the number of people who support this move, and believe that Dark Elegy's presence will have a positive and meaningful impact not only on the University, but on the community at large.
To sign the petition will only take 2 minutes! Please go to
and add your name. I would greatly appreciate it if you could put a comment as to how you are tied to this movement and pass it on to other family members to sign a petition as well.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this, and for helping to find Dark Elegy a permanent home.
