Robert S. Mueller III

Received the Keeping the Spirit Alive Award on December 21, 2013

As Director of the FBI Mr. Mueller was a speaker at several December 21st Memorial programs at Arlington National Cemetery. While serving as Assistant Attorney General of the Department of Justice he was in charge of the Lockerbie Investigation. Mueller is responsible for leading his team toward the Libya indictment as well as advocating for accessibility for the families and friends of victims during the trial. Mueller spent a large amount of time during the investigation traveling to connected countries to better learn about the attack, which formed a sentimental connection for him with the case. Even after the initial trial concluded, Mueller has remained committed to the case to ensure justice is brought to all believed to be involved.
