Robert Hunt
Advisory Board Member
Bob is currently a member of the Advisory Board for The Victims of Pan Am 103, Inc., and serves on the VPAF103 Scholarship Selection committees. He and his wife, Peggy, are the parents of victim and Syracuse University student, Karen Lee Hunt. They are also the parents of Robyn Hunt Barry, an S. U. graduate, and three grandchildren, one of whom is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming at S. U.
Bob spent several years on The Board of Directors in the early 1990’s during the formative years of The Victims of Pan Am 103, Inc. Bob and Peggy also went to Washington D. C. on the 103rd day after the bombing to petition members of the Senate, and President George H. W. Bush to form a congressional commission to investigate the Pan Am 103 bombing. This resulted in the establishment of the President’s Commission on Aviation Security and Terrorism, and the Aviation Security Act of 1990.
Bob is a graduate of Purdue University with a B. S. in Industrial Management, and he received his M.B.A. at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He retired after a career at Xerox Corporation.
