Mary O’Brien, Assistant Archivist at Syracuse University, was at her desk in the Archives on December 21, 1988 and began clipping newspapers about Pan Am 103 the next morning, truly beginning what later has become the Pan Am 103 Archives. She has worked one-on-one with Remembrance Scholarships applicants each year, and represented the Archives at many Pan Am 103 events.  Most importantly she became someone family members could turn to for support and understanding.
