Received the Keeping the Spirit Alive Award on December 21, 2015

Ken Dornstein is an author and investigative journalist. When Ken was 19 years old, his brother, David Dornstein (1963-1988) was among the 270 victims of the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103. Ken is the author of The Boy Who Fell Out of the Sky: A True Story, a 2006 memoir about the brothers' relationship and Ken's attempts to understand David's life and death, and the bombing of Pan Am 103. Ken is also the creator of the Frontline award winning TV documentary, My Brother's Bomber, which first aired in the United States in 2015. This three-part piece of investigative journalism follows Ken's search for evidence and answers about the bombing, taking him through north Africa, to Libya and right to the home of the convicted terrorist Megrahi. Ken’s persistence helped him work through the mire of the case while educating others about this tragedy.
