Judy O’Rourke is the retired director of the Center for Fellowship & Scholarship Advising at Syracuse University. At Syracuse, she mentored and advised the Remembrance and Lockerbie Scholars who were selected each year to honor the Syracuse students lost in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 and the close ties between SU and Lockerbie.
Judy has been a board member of the Victims of Pan Am 103, Inc. organization since 2008. She is editor of the VPAF 103 newsletter, TruthQuest, and administers the VPAF103 Scholarship Awards that support graduate students in the field of national security and terrorism prevention. In February 2014, Judy was invested as an Officer in the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her work with the Syracuse-Lockerbie Scholars program.
She volunteers for Meals on Wheels (Syracuse), Francis House (Hospice residence in Syracuse), and Syracuse University’s Hendricks Chapel Quilting Guild. Judy and her husband, Ed, a retired instrumental music teacher in the Syracuse City Schools, have 3 adult daughters and 2 grandchildren.
