Denis McDonough was Chief of Staff to President Obama and also served as Principal Deputy of the National Security Council. While working in the White House, he was a strong supporter of VPAF103’s goals. He was the principal speaker at the 2012 Memorial Service in Arlington National Cemetery. He worked very hard to change the way the U.S. government worked with victims’ families following terrible incidents.
