Deirdre Fortune was the wife of victim Robert Fortune. She worked at Haines Lundberg and Waehler, a New York architectural firm, who offered all the work done pro bono on the rendering and the Pan Am 103 Carin model, which was presented to the White House and the Commission of Fine arts by Michael Blauvelt, a member of the firm. Deirdre traveled to Canada to pick the granite that surrounds the Carin containing the victims’ names.
