Poem by Ken Bissett
As I was walking along,
I looked up at the nighttime sky
I was passing under a tree,
But, rather than having the tree
Moving past the stationary sky,
I imagined that the night sky was moving;
pulled along by unseen chariots
With white horses
or strong-armed burly men
Or brilliant blue seagulls.
For a split second,
The sky was a huge blue tapestry;
Perforated with tiny holes;
Illuminated from above by some unseen light.

We Remember Them
-
At the rising of the sun and at its going down,
We remember them.
At the Blowing of the wind and the chill of the winter,
We remember them.
At the opening of the Buds and in the rebirth of spring,
We remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of Autumn,
We remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends,
We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live,
for they are now part of us as we remember them.

Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Pan Am 103 Families Oppose Libya Seat on Security Council
October 16, 2007 – The United Nations is scheduled to vote today on Libya’s membership to the Security Council. Following the conclusion of the UN General Assembly, unnamed senior U.S. officials stated that the U.S. would not block Libya’s bid, a departure from its 15-year long effort to bar Libya from the Security Council.
