Brothers by Tom Coker
Brothers together they came in sweetness and beauty
Brothers together they left in God's grace
Gifted by God with Goodness and light
their privilege, their burden
Kind in the land of the uncaring
Virtuous in the land of the ambiguous
Giving in the land of the greedy
Sighted in the land of the blind
Aware in the land of the somnolent
May God let them and our love be one forever.
Cries of Anguish by Tom Coker

these the cries of anguish.
My sons are dead
dead when I awake
dead when I fall asleep
dead during the day
dead at night
dead.
I see my sons flung from the heavens side by side,
colored fluttering hail slamming into
soft Scottish pastures.
I can no longer look into the heavens.
I see my sons in body bags
bones shattered, skulls crushed,
flesh macerated,
unrecognizable, unbearable,
identifiable only by tattoos.
I see soft Scottish pastures pockmarked with holes
my sons mark on the earth.
In Memory of Victims of Pan Am 103
Poems by Tom Coker in memory of his twin sons, Jason and Eric Coker.
Cries of Anguish
This poem expresses feelings resulting from this horrible tragedy that many family members have felt - the pain of such loss, frustration with the process of identifying and returning bodies, compassion for the people of Lockerbie and for those who were mandated to retrieve bodies and debris in the aftermath, and anger toward those individuals whose decisions either allowed this to happen or hampered the recovery and notification process.

You's, A Collection of Poetry
by Sandy Phillips
This is a partial list of the poems included in this collection.
A fire that burns, as leadership
awakens, in the heart of a quiet man.
The blade you carry into the dust
and smoke of battle, the field
of conquest, may cause that long
terrible fall you now face.
Pick yourself up.

A tiny, quiet field mouse stands
in the absence of cover. It
pictures a thousand howks, mice
catchers all, circling overhead.
Realizing the illusion of fear,
That Man is a Success
Who has lived well
laughed often and loved much;
Who has gained the respect
of intelligent men
and the love of children;
Who has filled his niche
and accomplished his task;
Who leaves the world better
than he found it,
whether by an improved poppy
or a perfect poem
or a rescued soul;
Who never lacked appreciation
of earth's beauty
or failed to express it;
Who looked for the best in others
and gave the best he had.
